I’ve now configured, without to much difficulty, theWordPress for iPhone and as such, I am able to post while on the go. One thing that should be noted is that in the WordPress settings, in the Writing tab, the XML-RPC option has to be enabled for this to work. WordPress for iPhone reminds you of this in case you forgot.

Another mobile application that allows to post on the go is the Nokia Lifeblog. Some of the Nokia handsets, such as the N95, N73 and N80 (Internet edition), do come with it. I just can’t imagine how long typing an entry would take without a QWERTY keyboard! You can find more info on this topichere.

If you have a Windows Mobile device, as I had untill recently and crave for desperatly right now, you can use moBlog. It’s really easy to use and it has the advantage of working off-line; the only times you need connectivity is during the initial setup and when updating the blog with new content. Clickhere for instructions on how to setup moBlog. I’ll probably use moBlog if I getSony Ericsson’s XPERIA.

I’m also looking at the BlackBerry Bold as an option for my next mobile device. So far blogging on the BB is not as easy as on iPhone or other mobile devices. The only program which I’ve heard of that comes close is BBMetaBlog. It does have some drawbacks since it was designed for Lotus Note and Lotus Domino servers/platforms. WordPress users can use it, also as long as the XML-RPC option is enabled.
